The Mississippi Music Educators Association (MMEA) is a division of Music Educators National Conference (MENC) and is a voluntary, non-profit organization representing all phases of music education in schools, colleges, universities, and teacher education institutions. Active MENC/MMEA membership is open to all persons engaged in music teaching or other music education activities. The mission of MMEA/MENC is to promote excellence in music teaching and learning in schools and communities in the state of Mississippi. This mission is evaluated twice yearly when the entire Executive Committee meets. |
